Styvell Thompson Obituary (1949

Styvell "Sonny" McDonald Thompson or "P. Son" as he is known by his close family members, was born February 8, 1949 in St. Catherine, Jamaica. He passed away on October 19, 2019 after living a very loving and fulfilling life with his family and everyone that was fortunate enough to come in contact with him. He graduated from the Barton School in St. Catherine, Jamaica and came to America in 1984. Sonny had quite a few talents but after having work as a Diesel Mechanic for 47 years with employers Pace Motor lines, Buds Diesel, and finally retiring from the Ryder Truck Leasing Company, he became so good that he was considered a mechanic's, mechanic. When he wasnt working or socializing, he lived for and loved sports. Sonny was a diehard Patriots fan and he also made sure to play his lotto numbers. He was a great friend and family member thats going to be missed beyond measure, but the fond memories of his life and passions will forever be with us. He is predeceased by his parents, his mother Mrs. Gertrude Johnson and his father Mr. Luther Thompson. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children; Justin Styvell Russell of Bridgeport, CT and Kate Thompson of St. Catherine, Jamaica and one grandchild; his siblings, Gerlyn Copeland and Hycinth Thompson both of London, England, Cleveta Robinson and Selvin Thompson both of West Palm Beach, Florida, Hive Thompson and Una Thompson both of St. Catherine, Jamaica and Devon (Janice)Thompson of Toronto, Canada and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
