Shaquwan Obrian Newsome of Bridgeport born on September 8, 1995 entered into eternal life on Wednesday, December 30, 2020. Shaquwan was a graduate of Bassick High School Class of 2014. He most recently worked as a Retail Associate at Stop & Shop and Amazon. Shaquwan is survived by his parents mother Tanisha Newsome and father Brian Deveaux, a son Shaquwan Newsome Jr. 2nd, fianc Yaira Hernandez Baez maternal grandfather Michael Thompson and paternal grandmother Brenda Deveaux, his paternal great-grandmother Johnnie Mae Douglas and paternal great grand-parents Johnnie and Johnnie Mae Douglas a brother James Howard, and 2 sisters Latasha William and Gionnie Jenkins, Aunts Charlette Newsome and Audrey Deveaux, uncles Michael Newsome, Shamar Newsome, Matt Beasley, Demetrius Deveaux, and Emanuel Deveaux. He was predeceased by his son Shaquwan Newsome Jr. maternal grandmother Charlene Newsome Taylor, and paternal grandfather Glen Johnson. Shaquwan was a good caring and loving person who always made you laugh. He had a heart of gold. Due to COVID-19 restrictions the funeral service will be private. However it will be Live-streamed.
