Roderic Karl Raiford Obituary (1957

Roderic Karl Raiford, (Rod) age 64 entered into eternal rest on June 28, 2021 in Willimantic, CT. He was born on February 17, 1957 in Bridgeport, CT to the late James Henry Raiford, Sr. and Alee Scott Raiford. Roderic attended St. Marys Catholic School, East Side Middle School, Warren Harding High School and Housatonic Community College in Bridgeport, CT. Later on, he enlisted into the National Guard for a short time. He worked many years as a car salesman and moved up to a finance manager. He loved life and his friends and family. Rod enjoyed traveling any place a cruise ship would take him. He wrote several poems. Rod was a natural born hustler; he was always the top salesman for many years. In his free time, Rod enjoyed going to the casino and living life to its fullest. He leaves to cherish his memories, three daughters Tieese Johnson of New Haven, CT, April Raiford of Bridgeport, CT, Betty Jean Bass of Bishopville, three sons Jamar McKnight of Bridgeport, CT, Akida McKnight of Stratford, CT, Roderic Raiford, Jr. of Bridgeport, CT, eighteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one brother James (Rose) Raiford, Jr. of Bridgeport, Ct, two sisters Esther Raiford of Woodbridge, VA, Linda (Joaquin) Soares of Woodbridge, VA. A host of nieces and nephews. Roderic was predeceased by his parents, brother Darrell Raiford, brother, Gary Raiford, and his great nephew Rahshine Morris-Raiford, Jr. A walk through viewing will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Baker-Isaac Funeral Services, 985 Stratford Ave, Bridgeport, CT. The Celebration of Mr. Roderic Karl Raiford's life will be private.
