Reverend Leora Ann Reasor

Reverend Leora Ann Reasor, age 72, exchanged time for eternity on Wednesday, August 27, 2014. She was the beloved wife of Reverend Emanuel Reasor.

Leora Ann Reasor was born in Columbia, North Carolina to the late Cassie Owens and Charlie Lee Davenport on April 9, 1942. The former Ms. Leora Ann Davenport married Emanuel Reasor, Jr on December 27, 1971. From this union came Emanuel Reasor, III and Michelle Ann Reasor.

Reverend Leora Reasor was a faithful Woman of God, loving wife, mother and grandmother. Leora worked as a CNA for 20 years. Reverend Leora Reasor served as an Associate Minister at Friendship Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Johnny Gamble. Reverend Leora Reasor loved preaching the Gospel and serving in ministry. Reverend Leora Reasor served as a helper in the food pantry and the youth ministry on Saturdays. She continued this work until she became ill. Reverend Leora served as the interim pastor of Community Baptist in New Canaan, CT.

Beloved Reverend Leora Reasors memories are cherished by, her husband, Rev. Emanuel Reasor, Jr; son, Emanuel Reasor, III; daughter, Michelle Ann Reasor; grandchildren, Dontrelle Reasor, Anthony Brantley, Taniyah Reid, Aliyah Reid, Miyah Reid, Tremaine Reid all of Connecticut; one living aunt, Martha (Howard) Dunbar of Arlington, VA; two cousins, who lived together as sister and brother, Jimmy (Jeannette) Owens and Alice (Billy) Wheeler, and a host of loved ones, cousins, and friends. Leora is predeceased by her brothers, Charlie Lee and Doug Davenport.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at 12 Noon at East End Baptist Tabernacle Church, 548 Central Avenue, Bridgeport, CT. Friends may greet the family from 11:00 A.M. until time of the service. Interment at the convineniance of the family.
