Reginald Robert Seabrook

Reginald Robert Seabrook, Sr. (affectionately known as Rash, Daddy, Reggie, Uncle Reggie, Papi, and several other names), 67, was called home on Monday, August 7, 2023. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, cousin, uncle, neighbor and friend to many.
He alwavs poured into children whether they were his own, nieces, nephews, students, etc. He taught them respect, hard work, and ensured they experienced many facets of life. He showed love, kindness, patience, taught them to swim, etc. Reggie was an honest man and a lover of life. He loved watching documentaries, Wild Kingdom, fishing, and dee-jaying. He will be most remembered for being a Blackham Legend.
He is preceded, in death, by his mother, Margaret Deas Seabrook, his father, Leroy Seabrook, paternal grandmother, Richardean Finick, paternal grandfather: Abraham Finick, maternal grandfather Thomas Deas, maternal grandmother: Martha Deas, brothers: Leonard Seabrook, William Newton Seabrook, Leroy Deas Seabrook, his nephew: Joseph E. Chinnis, Ir., and his father-in-law: Reverend Levy Gay.
He is survived by his wife, of 42 years, Shona Gay Seabrook, his son: Reginald Robert Seabrook II. (Desiree), his daughter: Ifara Seabrook Brooks (Curtis), his siblings, sister: Marjorie Florence Moore (Clifton), his brothers: Cornelius Ernest Seabrook (Cynthia), James Charles Seabrook (Mary), Bernard Kenneth Seabrook (Linda), Harold Seabrook (Blondale), 7 grandchildren (Layla, Christopher, Amya, Zyon, Jaedyn, Jacob, and Julia), mother-in-law: Mrs. Janice Gay, brother-in-law: Carlos (Homer) Gay (Jennifer) and a plethora of nieces, nephews as well as extended family and friends.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM. New Vision International Ministries, 35 Benham Avenue, Bridgeport, CT. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time of service at the church.
Interment will take place at Lakeview Cemetery, 885 Boston Ave, Bridgeport CT.
