Margaret Bentley

Margaret J. Bentley 80 of Bridgeport passed peacefully on 8/28/2023 at Bridgeport Hospital, CT. She was born on June 12, 1943, in Waverly, Alabama. She was the daughter of the late Earley Bentley and Lorene Bentley Middleton. She was also a member of the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Bridgeport, CT.

Ms. Bentley is survived by two daughters, Jacqueline Fraiser of New Haven, CT, and Mary Garvin of Pineland, South Carolina; two sons David Lee Bentley of New Haven and Shawn Fraiser of Bridgeport, CT; two sisters Mary Bertin of Boston, Massachusetts, and Dorothy Massey Grant of Bridgeport, CT; one brother David Bentley of East Norwalk, CT; 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Ms. Margaret Bentley was predeceased by one daughter, Carolyn Bentley and one son Alfred Frasier; one sister Earlene Bentley and one brother Joseph Shaw.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 12:00 PM. Baker-Isaac Chapel, 985 Stratford Avenue, Bridgeport, CT. Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until time of service at the Chapel.

Interment will take place at Lakeview Cemetery, 885 Boston Ave, Bridgeport, CT
