Kevin J. Yates ("Yankee") entered into eternal rest June 9, 2009 at St Vincent's Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Born to the late Percy and Virginia Yates, he was a life long Bridgeport resident. Kevin was employed as the Chief Sexton of Mt Aery Baptist Church for eight years and was previously with the Westport County Hunt Club. Left to cherish his memory are two sisters, Brenda Joyce Curtis and Janice Yates; daughter Tanya' Harper (Bernardo); son JaKeith Jackson; life soul mate Gwen Jackson Colson; and three precious granddaughters all of Bridgeport. He was predeceased by two brothers and one sister. Homegoing service will take place Sunday, June 14, 2009 at 5:00 PM with viewing at 4:00 PM at Mt Aery Baptist Church, 73 Frank Street, Bridgeport.
