Jose "Cheo" Cruz was born October 8, 1956 in Bayamon Puerto Rico to the late Claudio and Delores "Sixta" Perez-Cruz. He was educated in the Puerto Rico public school system. He moved to Norwalk, CT as a teenager and resided there until his passing. Cheo, was self-employed as an all around handy-man. He took pride in his landscaping work. He was very creative and loved wood-carving, painting, art work and fishing.
Cheo was predeceased by his parents Claudio and Delores Cruz his brothers Claudio Jr, and Alberto Cruz. He leaves to cherish by his son, Maurice Thomas and daughter Bianca Jones both of CT, his grandchildren, Maurice, Jerrell and Angel Jamai Jose Jones of CT, his siblings Abigail, Yolanda, Jose, Janet and Edwin Cruz, Claudina and Beba all of CT.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM, Baker Funeral Services Chapel, 84 South Main Street, Norwalk, CT.
Interment will be private.
