Jackie W. Cooper Sr. Retired Assistant Commissioner passed away on March 25, 2009 at the age of 65. He was born June 27, 1943 in Southern Pines, North Carolina to the late James Cooper and Pasty Moss. Upon his retirement from Boston Parks and Recreation Jackie moved to Stratford, Connecticut and served as a Chairperson for the Stratford Housing Commission as well as serving as an Usher at Friendship Baptist Church . Jackie W. Cooper Sr. will be greatly missed, he is survived by his wife Mrs. Pearl Wortham Cooper, 3 children, 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild and a multitude of Family & Friends. Funeral Services are 12:00 Noon, Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Friendship Baptist Church, 235 Albert Street, Stratford, Connecticut. Viewing is 11:00 a.m. until time of Services at the Church and Interment is private.
