Glady Crawford

Gladys Crawford, 87, of Norwalk, CT entered eternal rest on Wednesday, December 27, 2023. She was born April 13, 1936, in Orangeburg, SC to Ernestine Randolph and Joe Williams.

Gladys was an amazing and devoted homemaker, mother, and friend to so many. To some, she was like a second mother. She was the matriarch of the Crawford family and helped create the best memories on Rockland Road. This is where she was known to feed the masses with her best recipes. She had a love of and an extensive collection of them. She attended Bethel, AME and was baptized at Grace Baptist Church.

Gladys will be lovingly remembered by her children, Vicki L. Williams-Day (William) of Fairburn, GA, Leroy Williams of Cockeysville, MD, Merry D Richardson (Ronald) of Bridgeport, CT, Ernestine Crawford-Littlejohn of Charlotte, NC, and nine grandchildren. She will be joining her predeceased stepson Benjamin Crawford, Jr. and three grandchildren. Also predeceased by cousins, David Stewart, Bobby Stewart, Eva Stewart, and Thelma Stewart (whom she grew up with as siblings). She has a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Gladys's life will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 11:00 AM. Baker Funeral Service Chapel, 84 South Main Street, Norwalk, CT. Family will receive friends from 10:30 AM until time of service at the chapel.
