Devin Bines

Devin Marie Bines, a woman of remarkable talent, dedication, and love, left an indelible mark on the world on August 17, 2026. Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on May 28, 1981, Devin lived a life full of passion and thoughtfulness. She was a beacon of warmth in her community, always ready with a comforting meal or a kind word. Devin's love for cooking was exceeded only by the joy she found in sharing her culinary creations with her family and friends. Whether it was for a grand event or just to feed someone in need, Devin's meals were always prepared with love. Her creativity extended beyond the kitchen, manifesting in her crafting endeavors and the lively games of bingo she enjoyed.

A dedicated employee at Hilton Hotels, Devin brought the same heartfelt care and attention to her work as she did to her personal life. In her leisure time, she was an active member of the VFW Auxiliary of Westport Post 399, contributing her time and talent to support the causes she held dear. Her life was a testament to the words of Maya Angelou, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Devin made everyone feel loved and cherished, a legacy that will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

Devin is survived by her loving mother, Gloria Swilling; her sister, Nyree Bennett; her sons, William Jr. and Na'Sir Days; her daughter, Kaliyah Days; her significant other, William Days; her brother, David Jr; and her special niece, Kameisha Bennett. She was preceded in death by her father, David Sr. Devin's large and loving family extends further to include numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss her dearly.

The family invites those who knew and loved Devin to a visitation on Friday, August 28, 2026, at 2:00 pm EDT at Baker-Isaac Funeral Services in Bridgeport, followed by a Celebration of Life at 3:00 pm EDT. Services are under the direction of Baker-Isaac Funeral Services, located at 985 Stratford Avenue, Bridgeport, Connecticut, 06607.
