Deborah Newby

Deborah Renee Newby was born February 26, 1962 in Sanford North Carolina to the late Alberta Mason Newby and Albert Chesney.

Deborah, aka Wezo, was known throughout the community. She had an outgoing spirit and was eager to help everyone.

Deborah attended the Apostolic Mission Church in Bridgeport where Bishop Samuel L Smith is Pastor.

After attending Central High School, Deborah earned a certificate in Culinary Arts and worked for Sikorsky and Port Jefferson as a line cook. Later, she worked as a Senior Citizen Organizer for Ella Grasso.

Deborah leaves behind daughter Iyesha Newby of Bridgeport, son Kendal Brodnax of North Carolina, sister Elizabeth Newby of Bridgeport, two brothers, Ray & Richard Newby of Bridgeport, three grandchildren, Iyanha, Leon, and Shadea, one great-grandchild, one niece Denesha Gordon, three aunts, Regina Wilson & Sandra Frazier of North Carolina and Frances Newby of Bridgeport.
