Barbara Ann Truesdale

Barbara Ann Truesdale, age 43, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at New Island Hospital in Bethpage, New York. She was the daughter of Rev. Dorothy O. Robertson of Bridgeport, CT and Chalmers Truesdale of Brentwood, Long Island, NY.
She was born November 30, 1963 in Durham, NC and attended Warren Harding High School in Bridgeport, CT graduating in 1981. She served in the USA Coast Guard in 1982 and honorably discharged in 1988.
Barbara attended West End Tabernacle C.M.E. Church of Bridgeport and St. John Baptist Church in Long Island where she resided. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant at AHRC in Seaford, NY for 17 years.
In addition to her mother and father, she leaves to cherish memories her stepfather, Fred Robertson of Bridgeport, 7 sisters: Amelia, Wanda, Ebony, Alicia, Dr. Sandra Forde, and Regina all of NY, Cheryl Robertson of Bridgeport; 3 brothers: James & Tony Miller of NY, James Robertson of Bridgeport; and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services are 10:30 am Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at West End Tabernacle C.M.E. Church; 265 Colorado Avenue, Bridgeport with Pastor Billy B. Cherry, Jr., Officiating, and Viewing is 9:30 am until time of service at the Church, Interment at State Veterans Cemetery Bow Lane, Middletown, CT.
