Anthony Glendale Floyd

Anthony Glendale Floyd was born on February 2, 1973 to Reverend and Mrs. Henry G. Floyd, Sr. in Norwalk, CT. He transitioned peacefully at St. Johns Episcopal Hospital on Monday, May 19, 2014.

Anthony was reared in Norwalk, CT. He attended the Norwalk Public School System and was raised in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He was a professional chef and caterer in New York.

He leaves to cherish his memory a son, Christopher Floyd of New Jersey; parents Reverend and Mrs. Henry G. Floyd, Sr. of Norwalk, CT; siblings Mrs. Pamela Robinson (Darryl) of Colorado Springs, CO, Glenn Floyd Jr. (Stephanie) of Shelton, CT, Theresa Floyd-Smith (Dennis) of Charlotte, NC, Jaramial Lee-Floyd of Norwalk, CT; nieces and nephews, Ashley Floyd, Andrew Danzey, Mariah Robinson, Dasia Floyd, Jonathan Floyd, Quentin Floyd, Darius Floyd, Amanda Robinson, Aubrey Robinson, Anyah Moore; one great nephew Jamari Robinson-Hampton; grandparents Mr. & Mrs. John Anthony Freeman of Bolton, NC and Mrs. Adline Floyd of Conway, SC; god-mothers Rosa Barnes, Deaconess Annie Smalls and Deaconess Barbara Boone; a special friend Danish Donnie Santiago; special aunties Melba Freeman and Angie Freeman; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, god-mothers and fathers. Anthony had a vibrant personality and was loved by many, he will be sincerely missed.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 11 am at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, 139 Lexington Ave Ext. Norwalk, CT. Friends may greet the family from 9 am until time of service. Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery, Norwalk, CT.
