Aileen Porter

Aileen Blossom (Nicholson) Porter, 79, of Bridgeport Connecticut, passed away on August 20, 2016.

She was born in Sav-la mar, Westmoreland, Jamaica on February 22, 1937. She was the beloved daughter of the late Aileen Blossom (Spence) Nicholson and Michael Samuel Nicholson.

Aileen worked at Merit Metal Finishing in Bridgeport, Connecticut for 20 years until retiring in 2003.

She was a devoted mother to her sons David and John Atkinson of Wolverhampton, England, Clive Porter of Rhode Island and daughter Carol Taylor of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

She was the sister of the late Linda Nicholson and Leslie Nicholson and is survived by her brothers Kenneth, Oswald, Orville, Aston, and Carl Nicholson and sister Hyacinth Nicholson of Bridgeport Connecticut.

Beloved grandmother to Tania Louise Atkinson, Rea Atkinson, Abbey Atkinson, and Dean Antony Atkinson, of Wolverhampton, England, Isaiah, Naomi, and Stephany Taylor, of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and four great grandchildren, Damita, Dachiya, Datoria, and Datheana Atkinson, of Wolverhampton, England.

Aileen was a devoted member of St. Johns Episcopal Church from 1974 to the present.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Johns Episcopal Church, 768 Fairfield Ave., Bridgeport Connecticut.
